Memories! One's assets for life. You often lose contact with your old friends but you never lose touch with your memories. That's probably the reason why I cherish my good memories as to be the most important string of my life. If you ask me about the most memorable day of my life, I'll get into a fix. There are countless such memories. But still I'll pull out a thread from the bundle of memories and share with you a very memorable day of my life.
This story goes back to the college days when I met a very dear friend of fine who was pursuing Chartered Accountancy. To give a prelude to the story, he was part of our group since school days. I would not label him studious as he was the most chilled out guy of the group. But he was definitely one of the most intelligent guys of my class. There are very few people who can match his sense of humor. But studying never came natural to him. That group was one of most fun groups I have ever spent time with. We had some really awesome moments #together. Alas! the group broke after the chapter of school got over. One major reason of separation was that we chose different line of career. We tried to stay in touch initially but it was tough to maintain for long. I took the path of engineering whereas my friend was going after C.A. I was not sure if he would be able to clear examination as the chances of success was merely 2-3%. But then I met him after almost 8 years of separation. I got to know that he cleared C.A. I was happy to know but when I learned about his story, filled me with immense optimism. If you persevere and keep yourself motivated nothing can stop you from achieving what you want from life. He had flunked C.A. finals more than 5 times. While all his friends had cleared the exam in 1 or 2 attempts he failed to do so even in 5 attempts. But he kept on his way, worked harder on his shortcomings and was able to achieve it ultimately. He was not at all studious but he achieved his way. He could have easily joined his family business but he was stubborn about his dream of completing chartered accountancy and he did it. To me he is nothing less than an inspiration. I don't think I would ever forget that meeting with him. Although I don't believe I would ever be able to persevere so much and achieve what I want to achieve in my life, his story gives me hope. It gives me the energy required to take bold decisions. I wish people like him inspire more and more people who can be that strong, ambitious and resolute.
Many such hopeful stories are created everyday in the space of https://housing.com/ which are equally inspiring in nature. I would suggest you to give a read to those stories as well.
